Maple Sage Sausage Patties

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound regenerative and pasture raised ground pork (I use Force of Nature)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage chopped
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon of tallow, ghee, or butter (for frying)

Directions:

  1. Mix ground pork, maple syrup, sage, red chili flakes, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, ground nutmeg, and dried thyme in a large bowl until evenly blended. Shape pork mixture into small patties.
  2. Heat tallow, ghee or butter in a large skillet over medium heat; fry patties in batches until pork is browned and no longer pink in the center, 4 to 5 minutes per side.
